Wiring Appendix X
The Front Wiring Loom Spur (large Blue plug to main loom) consists of 8 wires, colour coded as follows:- Refer to main text for SVA lighting requirments.
Front Lighting
The Left Blade on the sealed beam unit is Earth. (Black) Note:- As is usual practice, when the Main Beams are switched ON the Dipped Beams also remain ON, hence the need for a good earth as it is carries the current for all 3 bulbs.

Horns
There is no Horn Relay in the PWS wiring loom, but if you intend to fit powerful horns you will almost certainly need one. If you are fitting Air horns you will need to fit a substantial (4mm) supply via a 30amp fuse and the relay. Also the compressor will need a good earth. The relay is actuated via the horn button (to earth) using the two wires in the PWS loom. See table below. The Purple can be spurred off the Heavy Purple Fan Supply. (PWS Looms only) Compressor (or Horn) needs a 4mm earth. There may be restrictions on the use of Air Horns for the SVA. Two tones etc. not allowed.

Electric Radiator Fan
The Electric Fan can be run off the heavy duty Purple wire, but this wire is always live so the Fan will run at any time, (subject of course to the Thermostst switch) even with the Ignition OFF. More elegant solutions are detailed in Section XVI The Cooling System and Fan with a circuit diagram in Appendix II Link to AutoCAD Drawings This only allows the Fan to run under certain conditions. See main text.
