Why spend £3,000 on a kit, you may never finish, plus two years hard work and a load of agro, when you can buy a finished car for not much more. Fully road tested, full SVA (a real pain to pass) and a current 12 months MOT. Be on the road in days, not years. And built by a professional engineer to boot.
This car, featured on my Web Site, is an all Stainless Steel Wishbone Project 2B in Blue. It was completed in March 2005 and has a full SVA and MOT, it is registered as a new vehicle with an age related registration plate. (G611 UMB) currently taxed until September 2008. It is fitted with a 2.0 litre Pinto, with a shortened sump, twin manual choke downdraft Webber carb. (Ex VW Polo) Virtually no expense was spared in the construction of the car (within reason) and over the winter it has had a full set of Smiths 'Classic' Gauges fitted. Last year the car ran 1,000 fault free miles without the usual overheating or anything falling off etc. Wheels are standard Robin Hood 61/2 J Alloys with 5 brand new Avon tyres, the interior has a small boot over the fuel tank and is fully carpeted. There is no Hood or Sidescreens. The Bonnet detail is my own with Leather safety straps and other details can be seen on my web site. This is a total re-design of the Robin Hood 'crocodile' unit with the Scuttle/Windscreen & Nosecone fixed to the chassis. Only the bonnet center section lifts off.
The rebuilt 2.0 litre Ford Pinto (Sierra) engine fitted over the winter has new Mains and Big Ends. Bores honed by Headshop with 4 new Pistons & Rings. Skimmed Block (0.028 thou) New Camshaft, Followers, Valve Stem Seals, Unleaded Valve Seats and a full valve re-grind. New Fuel Pump, Alternator, Starter, Clutch etc. c/w Short Sump with additional oil capacity. There is also a full kit of parts for a Serk Oil Cooler.
To go with the car is a 1.6 litre Pinto engine in full working order with manual Webber carb. and shortened sump etc. You can buy this engine separately for £95.00 (buyer collects) Less than the cost of the short sump & the clutch. Smokes slightly on start up but uses no oil. Otherwise a sound engine.
The following parts on the original build were new, Front Caliper's, Rear Brakes, Brake Pipes (by Automec) Wiring Loom (by Premier Wiring Systems) and not much of the original Sierra remains - only the Front Hubs and Discs, Rear Suspension and Diff, 5 Speed Gearbox and Engine. The car is fitted with a Polo Heater and a new electric radiator fan unit. Full details of the car and the detail work that went into it can be found in the accompanying Web Site.

I am looking at offers circa £3,950 for the car plus any other spares you care to take away.
