** This is an English translation of Benoit Paysant-Le Roux's Madslide 2300 Web site This web page and the Madslide 1700 drawings are presented with the full permission of Benoit. (or you can go directly to the original French version) On both these web sites you will find two short video's of Madslide in action. Prepare to be amazed !! The 1700 Madslide drawings have been redrawn by Colin Usher but are essentially the 1500 drawing scaled up by a factor of 1.133. Should you wish to obtain a direct translation of the original Madslide web site try http://babelfish.yahoo.com The results are a bit odd to say the least. Mainly due to the technical terms used.
How to transfer old Model Aircraft Drawings to AutoCAD
Printing the Drawings
Where possible all my drawings are now offered as.PDF files only. Make sure you ask for a full size print on AO paper, (1189mm x 841mm) you should have no problems with this universal format at your local copy shop. Most .pdf programs allow "tile printing" and will print off the full drawing as a set of A4 sheets which can be joined up quite easily to give a more or less free print. Usually about 20 A4 sheets of perfect quality.
My copy shop had problems reproducing the AutoCad files accurately and a solution was found by converting the AutoCad files to a .pdf format. It was then printed in the usual way and gave perfect results. (Usually abour £3.25 per AO sheet in 2011) Most copy shops now accept the USB Memory sticks and some can convert any AutoCad drawing to a .pdf file (portable data format) at the shop before printing usually at no cost. Ask for the .pdf file to be put onto your memory stick !! As an alternative you can download a DWG viewer. This allows you to view & print the AutoCad files in sections on A4 paper etc. This file is free and can be obtained via http://www.infograph.com/products/dwgviewer/ When the page opens it is the box marked FREE .DWG VIEWER Powered by BRAVA! (extreme right hand box) Using the DWG viewer means you do not need AutoCad installed on your PC.
