Phantom Mite Notes

In the days before Radio Control and when 2.4Ghz was pre science fiction how many of us built and (tried) to fly a Keil Kraft Phantom Mite. For a model only 16" span (even metrication was in the future) it must have run into 1,000's. With an ED Bee Up Front 50 shillings for one model was a lot of money. Nearly a weeks wages for a lowly apprentice. Well you can now go retro, build your own and learn to fly Control Line all over again. This plan is drawn in AutoCad and reproduced as a .pdf file. A twice full size model flies very well. This Phantom Mite model is as accurate as it gets, drawn from an original Bill Dean plan of 1948 it is spot on. The outlines are "inside" the original drawing lines.
